God Worthy?
A Short Course in Christianity

God Worthy?

Something has been lost in our understanding of God.
Many find themselves asking how they could trust in a god that allows so many bad things to happen. Others believe that God could never accept them because of all that they’ve done in life, and still others shy away from the Lord, because they don’t want to do all the things they think they have to do in order to be a Christian.
Two thousand years ago, Jesus challenged the world to re-think our relationship with God by addressing these concerns in a very personal way. He redefined what it means to be worthy of God, He re-shaped our understanding of what a life in faith means, and He helped us to understand who our Father in Heaven is.
God Worthy? A short course in Christianity provides a short course in Christianity through an exploration of these same topics to help us regain what has been lost: A simple and practical understanding of what it means to have a relationship with our Lord.

Small Group Bible Study Guides

Acts of the Apostles

Acts of the Apostles is designed to support a small group study of Acts that will enrich the faith of devout followers and at the same time be very accessible to people new, or simply interested in the faith. The guide provides rich background history to help the student understand better the life and times of the early first century as well as brief biographies of each of the apostles who so actively participated in the early growth of the Church. The interconnections between Acts and the other books of the Bible are made known to the student, demonstrating how each book mutually supports the messages of the others. Through this, the student will learn to see that God has provided us a consistent narrative of His love.

Through insightful questions, the student will develop an understanding of the theological challenges faced by the early church and the efforts of the apostles and other disciples to bridge these gaps in order to maintain unity of spirit. At the same time, it prompts the student to reflect on their own challenges to the faith with questions designed to transform these issues into engaging discussions within a small group setting.

Letter to the Romans is designed to lead a small group through a reflective study of the apostle Paul's letter to the early churches in Rome.  The guide includes a rich historical and cultural narrative that helps set the stage for the lessons that follow.

Genesis leads a small group through an understanding of the first book of the Bible. Background information on the culture and prevailing beliefs of the time, help the group work through the wisdom and history, shared by Moses without projecting any particular interpretation of the text.
